A solid reference book for any who study literary critique; tends to favor English and U.S. critics and subjects, but it still does a good job of outlining and explaining important concepts and movements in literary criticism.

Available for use at William Allen White Library only

A revised and newly published version of the classic text, this is a bit dense and scholarly for most beginners; that said, this is an essential text for understanding the history, practices, and schools of literary criticism.
